Document/Exhibit Preparation
VISS manages the preparation of supporting exhibits for each of the Petition/Application types.
This frequently means using document manipulation software to break apart large pdf files, or improve the quality of the images.
VISS also uses document management software to track the documents provided by the petitioner/applicant, and to confirm all need documents have been obtained.
VISS then indexes and prepares the final exhibit packet.
Requests for Evidence
On occasion the USCIS will submit a Request for Evidence (RFE) seeking additional information in support of an Application or Petition.
For example, the USCIS may seek additional proof that a couple seeking an immigrant visa based on engagement or marriage, submit additional proof that the relationship is bona fide.
With the current backlog of I-601/I-601A cases, the USCIS will frequently iissue an RFE to obtain additional, current information regarding medical or economic hardship, given the passage of time since the initial waiver packet was submitted.
VISS can assist attorneys with preparing responses to such RFEs which often must be submitted under tight deadlines.
